But this email is to ask for your help…

REACH CYA is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary this year and we were just informed that the Town of Huntington is awarding us with a Proclamation at their Town Board Meeting tomorrow night (yes, tomorrow night). The Proclamation is presented at the beginning of the Board Meeting, and they usually say some words about the agency and then our photo is taken with the Town Board Members.

How can you help?

Well, we were asked to bring some youth with us, and we were hoping some of your children would volunteer to come.

We will provide transportation and dinner for them at California Pizza Kitchen as a thank you.

Here’s how it would work:

  • Tomorrow, Tuesday June 14, 2022 we will pick up youth with our van at 5pm in front of the Millennium Hills Community Center.
  • We will go to California Pizza Kitchen for some pizza and soft drinks.
  • After dinner we will head to Huntington Town Hall (Main Street, Huntington)
  • The Town Board Meeting will begin at 7pm and we are Number 3 on their agenda.
  • They will present the Proclamation to us and ask that the youth join us for a photo.

(The youth will be with us the entire time and the youth will not be asked to speak- just smile)

  • We will depart immediately following the Proclamation presentation and should be back at Millennium Hills by approximately 8pm.

I know this is very last minute and a very busy time of the year and certainly understand if your child cannot attend but the Town does financially support the programs we are able to offer and we want to do everything in our power to encourage continued funding.
