Do I have to notify REACH if my child will be arriving late to the after-school Child Care program?

Yes!  You must notify REACH CYA if your child will be arriving late due to their participation in any after- school activity including Clubs, Band, Chorus, Girl/Boy Scouts, Intramurals, Extra Help, Clinical Sports, etc.

Options for notifying REACH if your child will be arriving late due to after school activity:

Remember to complete After School Child Care Permanent Change Form once again after school activity has concluded to indicate that your child will be expected at Child Care program at dismissal.

What if I arrive at the school in time to pick up my child after he attends an after-school activity? Will I be charged for the day?
Yes.  All schedule changes need to be communicated to the REACH CYA office by 12pm or additional fees will apply.

I notified the school that I didn’t need my child to go to REACH after school child care today.  Doesn’t the school relay that message to REACH CYA?
No.  It is your responsibility to notify both the school and REACH CYA if your child will not be attending on a scheduled day. All schedule changes need to be communicated either by to the REACH CYA office by 12pm or additional fees will apply

I notified REACH CYA that I needed my child to go to REACH after school child care today.  Doesn’t REACH CYA relay that message to the school?
No.  It is your responsibility to notify both the school and REACH CYA if your child will be attending on an unscheduled day.

My daughter didn’t go to school today (or came home early) because she wasn’t feeling well. Doesn’t the school let REACH CYA know.

No. The school does not let us know of student absences.  It is your responsibility to notify REACH CYA if your child will not be attending on a scheduled day.
